Stag-handled knives from Cabela's

So my question is... I'm thinking about getting the 8" bowie (not shown) version of these knives from Cabela's. However, what I really want to know is whether or not it is a good buy, and what kinds of things I should expect from the blade steel and the stag handle. How well do stag handles hold up? I'd be using it for hunting and light chopping, and as an option for a fighting knife to accent my tomahawk.

So... please tell me somebody knows something about these knives. Also, I am very open to similar looking alternatives around that price range. Thanks for anything you can give me. A bone is a bone to this dog. haha
