Hello.

I don't make hidden tang knives with stag to often, but from time to time I need :)

steel – high carbon NC6 / 3.0 mm [0.118"]
length – 238 mm [9.370"]
blade – 112 mm [4.409"]
handle – dyed stag, brass
sheath – leather

Bona, I swear, you win with the unfortunate ratio of best knifemaker that gets the least recognition on this forum. Your stuff is always cleanly made, well designed, visually appealing, and occasionally downright awesome. I've said it before, and will likely do it again--I don't understand why you don't get more love here. Keep it up, you have at least one fan.

Although this particular knife is not my personal favorite (just a matter of personal taste, of course), I understand where you're coming from. He has posted some very appealing (at least to me) knives here - especially for the money. It would be nice to get one in hand to judge better how they match up with the pictures. May have to pull the trigger if/when the right one comes along.

In general, I see more and more appealing knives posted here from central and eastern Europe. But - with a few exceptions - it seems that most of the love here is reserved for American makers.

However, maybe that is to be expected as many of us have had a chance to actually meet more American makers at knife shows like Arkansas, the Guild show, Blade, etc., in many cases to establish personal relationships and friendships with them, to handle their work firsthand, etc.. In contrast, for many of us, the knives from these other makers from Europe are . . . just pictures.

Travis I'm with you on this one as I have said before.
I have about 15 of Marcins knives in my collection every one of them as good as anything I've got from JS and MS makers regarding fit and finish.
And what's more he does not have a big fancy shop, his shop is a for want of a word a cupboard in his apartment with a 1" belt grinder and lots of files. Which makes his work all the more amazing!!

Yes, really clean, always. This one is no exception. I like the stag on this and it looks great with the brass. I'd prefer the brass to be bronze but that's just me.

What you do win, hands down, is the title for ALWAYS making your sheaths so nicely match your handles. That title you can claim for sure. ;) :)

Nice work.
