Great looking damascus hunter. You must have posted your blade size wrong?? I like the overall size, but 4.4 can't be right for the blade.

Joe,

Comparing the size of the knife to the leatherworking tools laying underneath it in the one photo, I could believe 4.4 inches.

It is certainly one fabulous knife.

Hi Mr. Tao,

Really nice work and attention to detail. I enjoyed the photos of your homemade shop as well. I'm sure you won't have any trouble selling these knives here in the US. You'll need a gold or knifemaker membership to sell your knives on this forum. If you're having any trouble just send me an e-mail or a private message through this forum by clicking on my name and I'll be happy to sponsor your subscription for your first year. All the best of luck.

I've just gone through every Tao posting.

I almost can't believe this fellow is self-taught. His work is excellent, with enormous attention to detail and great care for fit and finish. Each knife must take a lot of time to complete. What could he do with a better set of tools?

Jose: thanks for helping Mr. Tao out here. If you hadn't, I would have. We need the chance to admire more of his work and even commission a few pieces, assuming he's interested.

Rats! Now I probably have to report myself to Security for another darn foreign contact........

OP,

I'm very impressed with his work already but I'm sure that exchanging ideas and seeing the work of the regular members here will only help to refine his designs and improve his quality. I put the order in a few days ago so hopefully it'll take effect soon and we'll see his work in the "knifemaker's for sale area".
