Look on the bright side. Makes it easier to replace the scales or fit them better, since there's been one report they're proud. Once that's done, you can glue them in place and replace the screws with whatever type pins float your boat. Brass might look good, mosaic even better.I was really looking forward to seeing this one as it seemed like a terrific gentleman's knife that wouldn't break the bank. I thought it would be an interesting mix of modern and traditional styles. I can't understand why they used screws instead of pins on this one. It just looks out of place to me, especially since the knife can't be taken apart anyway.
The "good news" for those not entirely happy with the stag is that the screws are the only thing holding it on, and are T-6 Torx, so bringing the ends down closer to the bolsters or replacing the stag with something else, like wood or CF, are viable options.
