This is another recent addition that has me grinning from ear to ear: a sweet mini-bowie by master bladesmith Bailey Bradshaw.
This knife features a random pattern damascus blade of 1084 and 15N20 steels, with a convex edge. The same steel was employed in forming the double-guard, octagonal ferrule and butt cap. Blade length is a shade under 5 ½ with an overall length of 10.
The handle is of mortise-fit stag scales, and as an added touch the knife also features take-down costruction.
As with all Bradshaw knives that I have owned, this one features truly impeccable workmanship. Fit and finish are absolutely first rate and the knife has a really great feel in the hand nice heft and balance.
One more shot:
My thanks to Murray White for the photographs (I forgot my camera again).
Cheers,
Roger
