Stag Scales?

I would like to get information on getting stag scales. I've tried Texas Knife two weeks ago and they called today to inform me they could not fill my order,they were outof stock. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good Luck,if you haven't already got some on hand your not like to find any.It's been banned awhile and most sources are drying up quickly.Now you get the bottom of the barrel at premium prices, if your lucky.Some are going to European Red Deer as it is close and not banned yet.Dave

Stag is getting to be very difficult to get. Makers protect their sources, but even they are having a hard time getting it.

By the way it is the export of stag from India that has been banned. That is why it is so hard to find.

I may have a source in a month or two, but nothing right now.

try kovals they may have some right now. call troy koval at 1-614-855-0777 tell him John heintzman his buddy, the knife making preacher (who lives down the road in columbus) who likes to harrass him sent you. He has been able to get be pieces now and then, also tell me what size they need to be, I have another source here for stag (thats very reasonable)'
