After a weekend in the woods, putting away the gear
I noticed I had stained my new custom blade, the last thing I remember using it on was food.
How can I remove this and prevent it......will a vinegar patina treatment take the stain out? This
helps prevent staining?
Any help Thanks

A vinegar patina just adds more stain, if you get enough of it it gets even and forms a coating of sorts. It is a mild protection against harsher forms of corrosion, but not a replacement for drying + oil. You can remove rust by polishing or chemical agents like flitz.

The vinegar patina will be one big stain. Nice and even if properly done.
But, your original stain may be darker. You would be staining the stain.
Try 'Flitz' metal polish to get the stain out.
Or leave it. And it'll stain a little more with each use. Eventually it'll be patina'd and look like a well used and loved knife.
Or, polish out the stain, then do the vinegar thing.
Here's a knife that I vinegar dipped...

(The difference in the patina is due to the differential hardening of the blade.)

Another way is to contact the maker of the knife and ask his advice ;)
