I want to make a custom knife handle out of antler I have laying around my house. I already know about potassium permanganate for antiquing it, but I would like to add a bloodstain effect as well since it is going to be for a cosplay outfit. I can't find anything about this in my google searches, and I'm hoping somebody here can help. I don't want it to look like fresh bright red blood, but rather a sort of dried blood with little flashes of brighter red here and there. Does anyone here know how to accomplish what I aim to do?
