Can anyone direct me to a company that will cast 440C? I have a small production run of 30 pieces but may be followed by more. Thanks, Marty

I'm not following you.

You want somebody to cast 440C blades?
440C is not a casting alloy. It has to be machined, laser cut, or water-jet cut from stock.

You want someone to cut blade blanks for you to finish?
you could ask on the makers forum:
BladeForums.com > Knife Maker's Forums > General Knife Maker's Discussion > Shop Talk - BladeSmith Questions and Answers

Handle portions?
I think that on a small run you would be better served by shaping Micarta or similar material.
Plastics that are durable cannot be formed by simple casting.

I think that he wants to have handles made up of 440C that he can then attach to blades. He has another thread where he is looking for someone to grind 440C Kabar replicas.

We are just trying to figure out exactly what you are looking for so we can point you in the right direction.

Follow the link in knarfeng's post to get to the area reserved for asking questions about making knives. If you are looking to have replicas of Kabars made then you should be aware that most makers won't copy a manufacturer's design without permission.
