Limited with funds and the HT oven I have, is there any stainless suitable for HT at a max of 1000c/1830f?
440b, 440c, and z-fi it can be done at lower temps, but you will be limited to mid 50’s Rc hardness.
Z-Finit is certainly on the list. Guess I could use cryo to bump hardness up on whichever steel I chose if required.
Most likely not. Cryo increases hardness by reducing retained austenite. If you're under austenizing, the Mf temperature is higher, and cryo will make a smaller and smaller difference.(...) Guess I could use cryo to bump hardness up on whichever steel I chose if required.

Definitely for me I'd stick to carbon or semi-stainless, big fan of D2.
Just that some folk like stainless above all other qualities, so if I fancied selling then it makes some sense to have a stainless offering.
I'd only sell if it was acceptable, get it independently hardness tested and all that.If you are selling, get a better oven. Your market with sub standard heat treat will be limited.
