Any recommendations of which hunting knife with a stainless blade? I have the esee 3 and 5 and like the shape of the knives.

I was thinking a SOG NW ranger since I have always wanted one but I would need another around the size of the esee 3. I am not smart on all of the different metal types and what it takes to sharpen them etc but I spend a lot of time along hunting near saltwater.

I like the toughness of my stryder but it is a pain to get sharp.

Tell you the Truth I really like K.O.A. , Knives of Alaska makes a great D2 knife .... My Favorite is the Alpha Wolf & Bush Camp .

:thumbup::thumbup: I have the Alpha wolf, and the Steelhead both great knives. I was going to buy the bush camp but keep buying other stuff.:D
They also make the Alpha wolf in i think s30v

Several models from Bark River come in stainless. The Knife Connection has a great selection, customs, and some new ones in CPM steels from Crucible.
Check out the Custom Highland Special in CPM S35VN

You could get a custom buck 110 with an s30v blade.

I have a SOG NW Ranger and highly recommend that knife.

SOG NW ranger ( new model) is a great knife. I wanted one for many years and when they finally re-introduced it I grabbed one. Flat grind and a nice blade shape and length. I like mine very much. Another good knife is the Cold Steel Pendleton hunter. Easy to sharpen , full-tang , tough sheath and a good price. I would not be under-knifed with either in a survival situation as well.

Pendleton far right:

You may want to hold out for ESEE's stainless offerings...then again you will probably end up getting it anyway.
