I thought these two had some simple elegance in common, so I put them on the scanner. Click on medium-size to get big.

Anybody out there besides me want to see the C52 all-stainless in flat-ground VG10?

Nice scans Mr Mattis! I always thought those two knives had the same blade design. If you compare the Dragonfly to one of the flat-ground Calypso Jr's, you'll really see the similarity.

VG-10 is my favorite steel and flat grind is the only way to go! Count me in!!

I'm in too. If you build it I will ...just buy the knife!

Very nice picture. It's interesting that the smaller Dragonfly model has a flat grind and ATS-55, while the larger Calypso Jr. has the currently less fashionable hollow grind and, I believe, a lesser steel (AUS-8?).

Other than increased stain resistance, what does VG-10 offer over ATS-55?

Jon

PS - The Dragonfly is my second favorite Spyderco, just under the Starmate. It acts and feels like a much larger knife.
