Great job, Ryan!! That one looks outstanding. How well does the mammoth work? I've been considering using it in the future.

Ryan, you've really outdone yourself on that one....just beautiful!

Thanks guys. I've got an identical knife to this one I'm working on now it's a nice light little knife.

Nathan that's the first time I've used mammoth and I REALLY liked it. I was afraid it would be brittle and shatter, but I didn't seem to have those problems. I liked working it alot more than wood. My only concern is how much the ivory is going to "move". I hear horror stories all the time and I went ahead and put it on a knife. A friend of mine who uses ivory on 95% of his knives doesn't have many problems if any with it after a good soak in mineral oil.

Mr. Ryan ---- great looking piece. You have done a masterful job of blending the shape of the blade, material of blade to the browning of bolsters & mas. ivory scales hense creating a tastefully designed knife. The only thing I don't like is the screws BUT, I never liked the look of screws on a quality knife anyway ---- pins only for me. Congratulations on a superb effort --- this knife only makes me more anxious to receive the folder you are making for me. I'm confident it'll be of the same quality & attention to detail. After it arrives, I'll look at it for a few days or so & then start drawing a pattern with gold inlay & scroll for it. Thanks for accepting the commission & altering so many areas to suit my taste. You Sir, are client friendly & make it so easy to say yes to. Best regards ...........

And I really like the dark bolsters, and goes very well with the mammoth ivory. A all differant look.
And I'll bet when Ken gets done with it it will be supper awsome.

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen.
Mr. Hurst as soon as that blade is back from heat treat I will give you a yell. I'm pretty excited about the project.
