Anyone know who else is making and selling this stuff? Other than vegas forge and mike norris?

When I get my press built I thought about doing some to sell, but not at the moment.

The folks at damasteel.. It is actually their brand name and several well known companies use their stuff.

Damasteel is very good, RWL 34 and PMC 27. Markus Balbach from Germany makes excellent stainless damascus and ships to the US.

I was gonna say Damasteel (Jantz and Tru Grit) and Devin Thomas but got beat to it.

I bought 1 piece of Devin Thomas stuff. Save all your pennies. The most expensive piece of steel I ever bought. The blade better come out fantastic.

Just my 2 cents worth.

thanks all, I was under impression Vegas forge is Devin Thomas damascus , no?

Ugly story there. If I was buying any damascus, Devin would be my choice.
Realize this post is a little dated, but wondering if you could elaborate on this ? Not much public info on Rob Thomas and Vegas Forge seems to still speak highly of him...

Please don’t bring this up, let’s just say money makes people crazy.

Another reason bringing up old threads is a poor idea is that Devin Thomas has stopped making damascus.

Today, stainless damascus is readily available from almost every knife supplier and most knife steel suppliers.

Damasteel is a very good stainless damascus and has many patterns and sizes.

I'm going to close this thread because much of the info is out of date.
