I love the Endura, in all of it's various incarnations. We just went on our first Boy Scout campout, and it looks like the stainless Endura may become my go-to camping & hiking cutter, with a stainless Native as my backup. With that decision, I've got some questions:
I have an Endura II in stainless steel with an AUS6 blade, and I'm wondering how it compares to the VG-10 in performance. I know VG-10 would be a better steel, what I'm wondering is if anyone here has experience with both, and can give a comparison. As I said in my intro, this one will probably become my regular camp knife, and I don't want to buy another if the AUS6 will hold up similar to the newer VG-10. Anybody know what hardness the folks in Seki brought the AUS6 to?
Has there ever been a sprint run of the stainless Enduras with specialty steels, like some of the other models?
Will Spyderco ever make these with posts & screws, as opposed to the flush pinned design it has now? I'd really like to take this thing down every couple of years and clean it out thoroughly.
If Spyderco doesn't make a screw-together version, can my current E2 be converted easily? (And maybe my stainless Native, too?)
Any chance of a titanium Endura in the future? Pleeeeaaaase?
