So a friend is doing a lot of yard work (grass trimming, cleaning out a weed whacker, small brush trimming etc) and has been using a Bk14 but even with a really heavy patina its still rusting quite a bit, so what are your suggestions.

Might look at a Spyderco H1 Salt. I have never used one, but would like to add one to my collection some day.

Stainless mora is about what we've been able to come up with, but he's wanting something else to add as he already has a plethora of mora. And h1 would work but he's not a fan of resharpening serrations

Boker Mosier. 3.25-inch blade, 12C27 stainless steel. The sheath has been redesigned since last year's release, so it is no longer excessively tight or as broad as the original.

Boker Arbolito Pine Creek Hunter from AG Russell. Approximately $70. Ebony wood handle; $58.

Benchmade Pardue Rant - 440C Less than $50

It's discontinued, so look around a little.

But a good knife for the dough.

+1 for the Bucklite max. That is a great blade for the money. Not bad for a bush knife either.
