Stainless Handle Full Serrated Endura Questions

I just received a parking lot rescue SS SE Endura in AUS 8. It has the older blade shape with the pointier tip, and 4 way carry clip options. Any ideas on the model (Generation 1 or 2, perhaps 3) or age? I've never been enamored with the SS handles, but it's not bad. My step father got it as a rescue from a pawn shop parking lot. It had been run over and the clip was gone. He sent it to Spyderco and they refurbed it and sharpened it for $15, including shipping I think. His son didn't want it, so here it landed. Looks surprisingly good to have been found in a parking lot.

Nothing huh? No one? I did make a mistake in the description. It's AUS-6 not 8.

All of the stainless versions of the Delica/Endura are referred to as generation 2 until the generation 4 with the reshaped tip came out. I hope that makes sense.

Generation 1 was the FRN handle with the integrated clip
Generation 2 was the stainless version
Generation 3 was linerless FRN with the barrel bolt clip
Generation 4 is both of the stainless and FRN versions with the four position clip and reshaped tip

Aha, got it. Are the Generation 2 version commonly available? Did they have a 4 position clip? I may have a Gen 4 with a re-reshaped tip then.

Yes they are common. The handle shape also differs between the generation 2 and 4 stainless versions.

I was fond of the notion that it was a 10+ year old knife put back in service. If not it still changed my mind about the stainless models. It's a little big for work carry, but weekend time will be good.

That's odd, because AFAIK, all of the all stainless Enduras in AUS-6 were only drilled and tapped for right hand carry.

yep, just checked. It's tip up or tip down, right hand only. I thought (hoped) there were left handed carry holes, but no luck.
