Sorry if this has been asked before, my search isn't turning up much.
Can the stainless handled Endura and Delica be disassembled? Thanks.

No, they cannot, they are both pinned construction. The only all SS Spyderco folders I can think of which could be disassembled were the ATR, Adventura, and Poliwog.

Sure they can be disassembled, it's the reassembly that gets tricky. ;) You just have to drill out all the pins and put in new ones. Granted, that is beyond the abilities of the average do-it-yourselfer, but it is possible for those skilled enough.

Well if you take the time to take all the pins out you might as well tap the holes and install screws for next time.

I have some duracoat gun coating left over from something else. It would have been a perfect coating for the handles, plus you can get it in ANY color now. Would have been a fun project but it sounds like it can wait for a later date when I have more free time.

I've always loved Spyderco's stainless handles. I was just using my stainless Rescue yesterday ( one helluva great SE blade ). My very first Spyder ever was a stainless handled, GIN-1 Mariner.

I have wondered however why Spyderco never considered either knurling or machining the handle so as to improve it's grip for wet conditions.

Now I'll admit that stainless is not my very favorite handle material but I do like them though. I sure wish I never would have traded my stainless handled Calypso Jr. It and the stainless Rookie were perfect working sized blades.

Yes it's time that people give Spyderco's stainless handles the respect that they deserve
