Stainless handles are nice ...but

I love the look of a stainless steel handle but I always put it down and carry G-10, CF, or FRN. The weight is a problem as well as the lack of grip. I wish I could get over it and carry my Spyderco Police or Scorpious but they sit never carried and as a result never used.
Anyone else have this problem or a solution?

I am the opposite, I find I love the heft and feel of my composite leek with stainless handles. I tried putting my ZDP blade on stainless handles but the lock was a little too long. For as much as everyone loves titanium, I find the knives lack any "heft" and just don't feel as significant as stainless scales. This is why I constantly hope for an s110v or composite zdp leek with the regular handles. I find I do like the FRN scales more than titanium on some knives, like the zing.

I don't like any metal handle knife. I don't know why exactly. They are cold and just don't feel good in my hand. I have got a few ti framelocks recently with another on the way so I hope I can learn to like the ti. I also have a zdp shallot that I would really like if it had a g10 or cf scale on it. Maybe I will try making one for it.

Same here.

I've sold every metal handled folder I've owned, from inexpensive CRKTs to Benchmades to Sebenzas.

Too cold. Not enough grip for my tastes.

Most of my locking folders have G-10. The rest are slipjoints with delrin or natural materials.

My next Sebenza will have the micarta inlays. That's one solution.

I hate stainless steel handles. Too slippery. I never liked the original Police because of them. The new G10 Police is nice.
Half steel (Ti, etc) and G10 is cool though.

I really enjoy the stainless Spydercos, but I can't use them in the winter... too cold!

I love my metal handled Byrd Cara Cara, but it could use improvement in numerous areas.
There are many sharp corners which hurts my hands
The blade steel is... a tad too cheap for my taste
It's made in china

Try an actual Spyderco. The Byrd line is intended to be a low-budget alternative to the "real thing."

I've tried a few with the SS handles, never liked the feel. Looking through the knives I have that get significant use, the handle materials are pretty much all g10 or micarta
