I read that they would be coming out with a stainless version of the Izula. Does anyone have any information on this?

Till then, enjoy good ol' carbon steel, though it takes bit more effort. Just cleaning it well after use don't take much time and prevents very well rust.

There's been discussion here and there about 440C stainless ESEE blades. It'll be worth it when they come out. Patience grasshoppa. :D

I've never had a 1095 blade (that I recall) until I started buying RC/ESEE knives. It's not a wonder steel but it is a great overall steel. I dig it.

Stainless Izzie? Oh well, we all know it's gonna work like crazy. And bite ppl too

Sounds good but why 440?

Besides stainless I don't see any advantage, the 1095 might even have better performance. It takes a pretty good stainless to stand up to a well heat treated carbon steel.

If it's 440C with a good heattreat, there's nothing wrong with that imho when you're looking for stainless steel for a decent price. There were times when 440C was the ultimate must-have in knife steels...:D
