Stainless less shiney???

Hi all,

I just got a amber bone mini case trapper. I love it but I hate how shiney it is. Is there a way to dull the shine? Im going hunting tomorrow so if i get blood on the blade would that possibly dull the shine?

If you want it less polished, then some careful work with 800-1200 grit wet-and-dry paper will put a nice satin finish on it. Work in one direction only and don't stop while the paper is on the blade. Google-ing will find detailed instructions for satin finishing.
If you don't like the colour, I'm afraid you should have bought carbon steel, as it is unlikely that stainless will stain much darker.
