I am looking into getting a Damascus bladed Sebenza, and I am having a hard time choosing which type to get. I know that the High Carbon is 1095 and nickel. What is the Stainless? Which would you choose and why? I have no problem with cleaning my knife (which I do) after use. Which would be the tougher option?

Id be more tempted by the carbon steel personaly but both would be a good choice imo.

Make sure and post a few pics when you get hooked up :)

For a user go stainless, hands down. I have used both and the carbon is coated with a clear coat that will scratch all to hell. I will post the pics when I get my computer, my phone does not copy and paste.

The stainless will cut most everything even cardboard without even knowing you used the knife. Also with the stainless you can feel the different steels, the coated (carbon) feels like one smooth surface.

The Stainless is good stuff

The stainless is my preference!
