Right boyos. I want to orange peel a full stainless handle. Whats the easiest way to do this.

I have some high grit sandpaper lying around, a dremel tool and a heads kit for it.

Thanks ! :)

Orange peeling is done with wire wheels. I'm not sure if they have one for the dremel, but that's the only way to do it, as far I as know. Most use one attached to a bench grinder to get the effect.

I tried that. The part was from the dremel brand tools. The small metal spikes on it flew everywhere.

Isnt the metal supposed to overheat and that creates the effect ? I dont see that happening with that small of a piece.

No, the metal is not supposed to overheat. Even if it were, a wire wheel will not get it hot enough to have any effect. The wire wheel abrades the surface in an irregular fashion.

Make sure to protect your eyes using a wire wheel. Also check the max rpm rating of the wheel too fast will make it come apart fast.

the dremel runs at 15 000 rpm.. i bet thats too much. Gonna try it again, and find some good quality head first !
