Stainless Steel Bowl Causes Fire!

Just happened to read this article about how a dog's stainless steel water bowl nearly burned down the owner's house.

Got me to thinking that maybe a small shiny metal bowl would make a nice multi-purpose (fire, signaling, food prep, etc.) piece of gear for camping or overnight in the woods.

If you have a bowl that approximates a parabola so that it has a reasonable focal point, it's quite easy to light tinder/kindling at that point. The trick is keeping it shiny enough if using it for anything else. An enlarging shaving mirror works too.
