Noticed some high quality nail nippers in the personal care section at knifecenter.com; the expensive units were presumably chromed carbon steel and made by Dovo in Solingen Germany. Dovo also has professional versions that are made of stainless steel (and may be forged) and employ a box joint versus a lap joint(please explain). Dovo's meager web site and no-response on an email left me still wondering if the additional cost was worth it (one ad claimed superior edge holding for the stainless). I am particularly interested in the edge performance and the process for subsequent sharpening (send back to the factory or go to local shop?); a superficially similar $18 Revlon nipper from Walmart comes with a $2 sharpening guarantee.
