This was pretty interesting, but it didn't really define what stalking is.
"Willfull and persistent harrassment" is one way, and in that case I'd think the 1 in 10 numbers are way too high.
"I called him a couple of times to tick him off." "After she broke up with me, I sat outside her house to see who was coming over." Well, then the number 1 in 10 is potentially low.
The reality is that there's a wide swath in between my two extremes: like most sociological studies, I don't think this one was well reported. I'd be curious what the actual study was, versus one statistic culled from it.
