Didnt posted for a while, worked on the sheat which type
customer wanted and make some mistakes, one was in stamping
because of too small handle thickness of stamping tool which made me to make a
mistake. So I wanted to hear do you enhance thickness of stamps handle so it better sits in hand. Also critiques for this sheats (which I dyied) welcome.

Making your handle more robust can be accomplished a couple of different ways. One would be to wrap layers of tape to build thickness and another, probably better way would be to put a section of plastic or rubber tubing with near the correct inside diameter over the handle, and, of course you can always put a leather wrap on it.

Good to see your posting again Macan! I've been looking at the pic of the stamping and haven't see the mistake yet. I do think the stamping would be more pleasing to the eye if it was a little steeper angle. From upper right on the sheath to farther down the sheath, right now just a shade off of horizontal. I have not widen the grip on any of my stamps. I have grounded the end flat on some that were overly rounded and would tend to go skittering around the shop when struck. This has worked well for me.

Ok found the mistake but I had to enlarge the pic quite a bit. Just keep stamping. One thing is too make sure you are not squeezing the tool handle too tightly. No white knuckles. This can cause fatigue rapidly and then more mistakes will happen.

To expand on Pauls suggestion, I've done this.....

Your local auto supply usually has a large selection of fuel line of different inside diameters. Employees or managers are usually very helpful where I shop, I think they're fascinated to get away from the automotive to the alternative ideas. :)

If the hose is a little big, a thin coat of contact cement will normally hold it.

Thanks guys, those are good sugestions, you reminded me for plastic tubing -from my aquarium tanks(cichlids forever) which will be neat solution. Dave You are absolutely right about angle -didnt cross my mind. I made mistake once with the stamping and only reason I didnt do that again is because this is again and didnt had so much time. Also two times holes went wrong when punch them...Man have to have good focus until end or...

Another suggestion... heat shrink tubing in the electrical section of HD/Lowes. Several diameter selections are available.
