Stamped or inked?

While loking at all the pictures everyone has posted of their SAR 3LE'S I've noticed something. Some of the blade markings look stamped while others look like they are inked on. Is this just the difference in photography or am I seeing it correctly?

sometimes the logo is not consistently bright, that might be part of it.

I noticed the same on mine Chris,,on my Red black,, the logo is smooth, and on the Black orange it is more rough and smooth again on the Black paper

But the real difference, is when I line them all up on a flat surface and then look at the way the light reflects off of the logo, the smooth logos appear silver on the bold areas (like the dog tag and heavy lines), and the rough logo on the orange black is solid black on the bold areas

Really strange as I would think that the engraving process is identical,,,any other insight from the Boss man or Garth??

Of the ones I've seen the lower numbers have the stamped look ant the higher numbers have the inked look. May be just a coincident. OR NOT : )
