stamping a basketweave pattern on sheaths

Howdy There.....!
This old dumb country boy could use some help on how to stamp a basket weave pattern on a sheath. I am not very sure how to go about get it lined up straight and exactly how to do the pattern itselft. Any and all HELP would be very appreciated. Thanks your time...!

Make a line at a angle and start stamping, , practice on a peice of scrap first, its pretty simple to do, tougher to do well. Look for Chuck Burrows sheath making video, shows it in detail and done by a master.
