Regarding the Wm Sweet Bowie knife. I spoke with Mr. sweet many times
before he passed away. I was out of the country when he DID, and was later told I could have HAD the Bowie which is under so much discussion. The
"mate" to this knife is owned by a friend, Joe Musso of California. I had
tracked the Wm. Sweet Bowie knife after Mr. sweet's death, and, once again,
came withing a hairbreadth of having it. I DO have a 3/4 scale repro of it,
which was the start of my correspondence with Mr. Sweet back in the 1960's.
I came so CLOSE to owning that Bowie of Bill Sweet's, and when I think of
HOW CLOSE, I have to stop thinking about it or I won't sleep at night.
Joe Musso is one great guy, and I am proud to know him, and support him
in every regard.
