Thanks in advance for answering my trivial question, but I am curious...

Just picked up a large 21 Insingo from a very reputable CRK dealer.

The stand off is not ano'd blue (the thumb stud is though) plain Ti handles.

A16, so fairly new. Is this a new thing, or did I miss something?! Personally haven't seem one like this, but I don't know everything.

Thanks.

Sorry, yes the standoff......

I am really tired (that's not only a good excuse, but the truth!)

No worries. I wasn't trying to be a jerk. I don't recall seeing one that didn't match (standoff and thumb stud) but it might not be that unusual. Someone here will know.

"Back spacer" was absolutely mind blowingly stupid on my part!!!

What was just curiosity is now starting to bother me!!
I just need an answer to stop this OCD!!!

Interesting. I haven't seen any examples of the stud and standoff not matching from the factory. I know one can purchase and swap in a different color of standoff, but to my knowledge, it is supposed to match the stud from CRK.

I'll be curious to see what you find out about this!

The knife is brand spanking new, and not just because I bought it new, but there are obvious signs that it has never been used in any way, much less taken apart.

Where did you get the knife? Supporting dealer?

I have never seen mismatched ano myself.

Not the dealer- Really, I don't think it's beyond reason to get a rear spacer that simply wasn't anodized.

I would inquire by sending an email to crkinfo@chrisreeve.com. Obviously, it's not a counterfeit, but it does seem a little strange...Especially to someone who may be OCD. I may not have noticed myself as most of my knives get used.

Pics if they help...turning this into a big thing, sorry...

Honestly, it doesn't bother me in the least bit. I use these knives as hard as any I have, and blue ano means zero to me in terms of make or break.

I was just curious because this is not my first CRK and I have never seen one that didn't have both of these parts ano'd blue.

All good though, really appreciate your time and help on this Bill.

Hey, maybe this is a one-off blade show special that I got by accident?!?

Bidding starts at $10K....who's first?!

Just kidding.

Thanks to everyone for helping out.

Looks legit to me.

Sounds like you need to rub off the blue on the thumbstud to match the spacer.

The spacer/stand off comes in three colors to match the thumb stud, blue, gold, and silver. Normally the studs, lanyard, and spacer match. If the knife was LNIB but not brand new from a dealer it could have accidentally got its spacer swapped with another CRK. BTW You can buy replacements. I think its like $12. There were also some that were decorated on special issue knives.
