Stand Offs or Spacers?

I was using stand offs in my liner locks but started using spacers instead.
Personally I like the spacers better.
They look better and make the knife stronger and they don't add any noticable weight, even on the size folders I make.
They also give you plenty of room for carving if you choose to dress the knife up.
Which do you folks prefer and why?

I always use a full blackbar. It gives me pleanty of room for filework and is just the way I learned to make a knife. It is also part of the New England influence in my designs.
 
3/4 length or full, basicly for all the same reasons as above. I have used stand-offs but found to be a bit more flexible. On a thick sidded frame-lock it's probably a bit better though.
