Standard Busse Sheaths......Keep?

I'm starting to get a rather large pile of the standard sheaths that come with Busses. One by one I'm replacing my BM sheaths with Kenny Rowe stuff, and already have a good sheath for my NO. Guess my question is pretty simple...is there any reason to keep the standard sheaths, like for resale, collector's value, etc..... Or should I just post them for sale and see if anyone wants them?

I don't like them much either. I also have Rowe sheaths, but I also have Normark's for extreme use. He does a great job and they're better for harsh conditions and convenience than leather.
But I also have my original cordura/kydex NO sheath as a spare [the other originals were the better kydex ones] I keep it so I can transfer the knife from one sheath lashed to a kayak or pack to another for body carry etc. You might want to keep it.
But if you can sell them, I'm sure someone might want them. Not me, though.

If for some odd reason you ever decide to part with one or two of your Busses they would probably bring more with an original sheath whether they're any good or not.
I would pay a little more for an original rig than sheaths made by someone else.

They are good for some things.

When backpacking (external frame) I lash the factory sheath for the NO to the frame rails with wire ties. Then, when I'm not wearing the pack, I just transfer the knife to a custom sheath that's on my belt. that belt is my camp/utility belt which has a canteen, small kit and usually the NO/E. That belt, with gear except for knife, is cinched around the pack.

When on a conoe or kyak, the factory sheath can likewise be permanently attached to the craft with your custom sheath on your personal gear.

They do add to the value of the knife (IMO) at sale/trade time and they are also part of the the package that buyers sometimes look for, along with the box, papers and, in my particular case, a couple pull tabs from Carling Black Label.;)

Ok, I'll hold onto them. I'm sure there is a corner in atleast one drawer with some room :) Been reading back through lots of sale threads, think you guys are rights people are paying slightly higher if it has the original sheath. The NO ones though I definately can get rid off, as I've got two custom sheaths for it already for different carry positions when hiking, but the BM's I'll keep on the off chance I go bankrupt and need to part with them.
