Standard C05 vertical play problem

I just got a G-10 Standard from SMKW and it exhibits vertical play. By that I mean the lock up is not tight. Are any you having that problem with these knives?

My G-10 Standard (SMKW) that just came in exhibits the same traits as yours, BUT so does my Calypso Jr. LTWT does this, and my G-10 Harpy as well. The blade rock a tiny bit - noticible, but not really measurable ( ~ 1/64").

I know that some of the other BF members had noticed this with their Spyderco's as well. I have use mine pretty hard, and haven't had any problems, nor am I worried about the lockback failing.

Mines about 1/16". My Calypiso Jr and Dragonfly have no noticable vertical play. I can barely notic some on my Navigator.

Hi Beam,

My suggestion would be to send your knife in to warranty and repair so that we can visually evaluate it, I am not aware of any excessive play concerns in any of our models.

My Standard is nice and tight also, might want to send it back if it seems to be too loose to you.
