Standard grind on BATAC LE

As a recent member of the Busse family, can one of you experienced Busse owners tell me the grind of my first Busse, a BATAC LE? I was told it is a convex edge, but it sure looks more like a tradtional bevel on the edge. Looks nothing like my Bark River and Fallkniven convex grinds.

I have yet to see any Busse with a true convex edge as a standard offering. Im probably wrong though.If there is any seperation betweem the primary and secondary grinds then it is not convex grind(ala any BRKT offering,the only real comparison I currently have) IMO. Like I said though,I could be wrong.

aside from the comp SQ?
i believe you are talking about a full convex grind (which would go all the way to the edge like on a katana. Busse calls it a zero edge . . . i think. still not entirely sure about that)
 
Yeah I guess that would be the exception(though Im not sure it is a standard offering).Even if a blade has just a convex edge, the transition between primary and secondary grinds should be near seemless,right?

well with a full convex grind there would only be one bevel all the way
 
Other than the recent competition grades, there were very few factory convex grinds. The ones I know of are: Original custom AD, ABA LE and some of the culties.

Standard. Not convexed. All BATACs have bevels.
