the only reason i have been able to get were i am is because evreryone who has posted any information and who has shared their knoledge or simply pointed someone in the right direction or passed on practical and personal expreience.all this has kept me from having to do the trial and error for the most part which in its self has taken care of alot poblems before they arose and as long as there are people willing to share their knowledge an a place like blade forums for them to do so new knife makers like my self will be able to take this knowledge and go futher faster but this could only be done by standing on the shoulders of all you giants.

ROTOR-

That's exactly in line with my sentiments about Roger Dole. There you have a man that has been a knifemaker for 26 years, never stepped foot in another knifemakers shop...yet had no hesitation to let me come up and see his set-up for making folders.

Very cool stuff.
So my thanks too.

Rotor-

You just happened to use one of my favorite quotes. I use it in my signature. And I concur, we are indeed standing on the shoulders of giants here. All the exchange of ideas and expertise in these forums is inspiring.
