Hey guys. I have a few questions about the military hardware. I would like to replace all the screws on the military with a better grade of hardware. What i plan on doing is buying some standoffs for the spine of the knife with new screws. I will keep all the old hardware as it's in good condition. Where would i find standoff's that would fit the military with no modification to them or the knife? Also, will buying standoffs correct the military blade centering issues? No matter what i've done to try and correct it, my military is off center towards the lock side. If it's possibly i'd also like to replace the pocket clip screws. The pivot and the blade stop are fine, but i would like to find screws to match with the newer screws for the blade stop.

Can't say for sure you won't have fit issues, but usaknifemaker sells the parts you are looking for.

The only thing I recommend is you sending the knife back to Spyderco if you are dis-satisfied with the blade centering. I have three Millies, one of them 21 years old. All have perfectly centered blades. In this instance, I highly doubt changing the standoffs will re-center the blade.

Have you tried loosening all the screws, going over center to the opposite side with the blade, then re-tightening it? You need to go past center because like all things, it will tend to spring back to where it was.

Yeah. I've tried recommendations from the forum, YouTube, and my own knife experience. I'm not looking for stand offs to center the blade, I like how they look and for what I plan on doing with the knife will be easier to clean. I was just wondering if stand offs would possibly pull the scales either way to center it more. Does anybody know the size of the back spacer and what size standoffs to use?
