Hey there CRK fans. I decided to get this beauty and add it to my EDC knives. Yes, I will use it. I couldn't stand it anymore. I saw it in my catalog and had to get it. You all know what I mean? LOL This is my first large Sebenza and so far, i'm loving the size. It's replacing my Spyderco Paramilitary 2. I hope the link works to see the pics

Congrats man. I got my first large Sebenza 25 on the way. I am actually a paramilitary 2 man myself and hoping it will replace it. How did you find the transition from paramilitary 2 to the Sebenza 25? I'm most worried about the weight difference. Love my small 21 though.

I need to add that my two favorite knives are the para 2 and a 21 or 25.
Congrats on that .
Nice pictures.

I'll tell you right now. You're going to miss the awesome thumb hole on the P2 at first. As soon as you learn how to use the thumb-stud on the 25, you're on your way to pure knife bliss. You don't have to worry about the weight. It's a little bit heavier than the P2, but the 25 seems to be thinner than my P2. It's weird, but i love the fact that it is slimmer in my pocket.

Here is a link to the side by side comparison

Took me a while to "get" the 25. Sold my first one a week after I bought it (to get another Unumzaan). I adopted another 25 a couple months ago, and I can't stop carrying it. When a broken in 25 is set just right in the pivot, it is beyond bliss - the best folder action feel I've ever felt. I now call mine a Sebenzaan, because it will never truly be a Sebenza to me (sans bushing), but it just may be something (in some ways) better.

I love my 25, it's my favorite carry and gets more pocket time than anything else. I have been really tempted to get a Starbenza 25 but I don't have a full size, plain 21 yet and I'm holding out for that.

I've got two small Starbenzas and haven't even considered giving one of them up, just love that star burst pattern on them.

I've handled a plain and had a large Starbenza that I just traded for a small. If you love the Starbenza the plain might not feel right to you. The grooves are really functional and not just decorative.

I guess I owe you guys an update. I got my 25 in the mail and wow what a knife. Ergonomics are amazing, weight is distributed great. However, there is just something I can't get used to. Unfortunately I'll be sending this back. It has however renewed my love for my small 21. The small 21 Sebenza just packs so much knife into such an easy carry size, I love it. Maybe a 2nd small 21 is in my near future :D

If you had to say what is it about the 25 that isn't floating your boat?

The small Stabenza 21 is ridiculous. Love it. Such a huge difference in total package between the small and larges though. I feel CRK really does need a medium size.

To be honest I never gave it a fare shot. When I decided on a large Sebenza I really wanted a large carbon fiber 21, but I found the 25 for a good price so I "settled" on that. I put settled in quotations because by no means is buying the 25 "settling". It's an awesome knife, but I guess my heart was really after the CF 21.

Some things I didn't like however were the sharp jimping, the placement of the lanyard, and the pivot. The pivot on it was actually unscrewed to the point that the screw head was not flush with the titanium scale and the movement was still very stiff. This is probably something that can be remedied by playing with the pivot and through time but I didn't want to play with the pivot since I decided on sending it back and I guess I'm so used to screwing down the pivot on my 21 that anything that isn't flush would make my OCD tick.

Just want to again say that the 25 is a hell of a knife and I probably didn't give it a fair shake, but my heart was set on the CF 21 so that is on its way and the 25 is going back.

Are the Starbenza's covered by Wilson's warranty or CRK's? Can they be sent in for spa treatments or repairs at CRK? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I'm on the fence for purchasing a Starbenza 25 as my first CRK.

Definitely go with the CF 21 you won't regret it! It is my favorite Sebbie by far. Thought I would add some pics just because ;-)

First two pictures are Large's:

Here is a small:

These next two pics are both together:

Good pics. I used to have a small CF 21, but it just didn't feel like a true Sebenza with out its other slab of Ti. It was an awesome knife and it was super light. Just wanted that heavier feel in the hand.

It has however renewed my love for my small 21. The small 21 Sebenza just packs so much knife into such an easy carry size, I love it. Maybe a 2nd small 21 is in my near future :D

Second this, the small sebenza is truly a pocketknife masterpiece..

Mail call!! Just picked up my Large Carbon Fiber 21 Sebenza from the FedEx office...

All I can say is WOW!! People were not joking when they said the carbon fiber Sebenzas are the smoothest out there, because this thing feels like it defies the laws of friction. Also can't believe how little this thing weighs. Definitely made the right decision here.

P.S....my girlfriend is going to be PISSED when she's sees another CRK, so if anyone has a comfy couch I can crash on let me know :D
