Starbenza Handle Thickness Question

Hi guys -

I've a question about the small starbenza handle thickness as compared to the small micarta, or small regular Ti slabbed version.

Is the starbenza thicker like a micarta insert one, then they cut the starburst pattern, or is it the same thickness as the handle on a regular Ti model, then they cut the starburst in it?

I tend to favor the little added thickness of the micarta inserts that they add to the knife. I'm considering a small starbenza and I was curious about this. Kinda liking that starburst pattern. And there's no way I could afford a WC 1911. Lol. Do have a couple of their mags though for my 9mm.

Thanks! Joe

I am pretty sure every Sebenza essentially starts as a plain, then gets drilled, miled, anodized, inlaid, and finished.

Ok, thanks for the answers guys and the pics. That what I was figgering. :)

Ajack - I'd be happy to store that starbenza for you if you need space. Lol.

Thanks!

Since you guys weren't too helpful in dissuading me that I didn't need the starbenza, I just ordered one.

That picture gave me the final shove over the edge. Lol.

Should be here in a few days.

I really need 5 small Sebenza's. ;)

I think you're gonna love it. I rotate those two on a regular basis, along with a large. The small fits perfectly in my front shirt pocket.
5 is a good number of smalls to have. Post some pics when she gets in your hand.

I don't have any inlay Sebs or anything, so my Startacs and Starbenzas are my "dress-up" CRKs, they are beautiful. If you're not too into inlays, but want some additional grip and flair, then the Star-line is fantastic. Part of me wants them to offer a Starbenza Insingo, but then I'd have to buy a large and a small... I'd really like a Starnandi though.
