Hey all, I'm tryin' to get back into the Spyderco thing, and I'm considering the Starmate. On this page: http://www.spyderco.com/displayproduct.cfm?typeid=9 you see a serrated Starmate with the medallion and black clip, and a plain edge with polished clip, and no medallion. Is this how they will be done? If so, that plain bladed one looks PERFECT. If not, is it possible to trade a black clip (*YUK*) polished clip?

I have a plain blade on order, but it has the black clip, I believe. I also plan on sending it to Dale Reif to have carbon fiber handle scales made, and the phillips screws replaced with torx., so that'll take care of the medallion thing.

Thanks!!!

The photo in question is, as far as I know, of a pre-production prototype. Note that it doesn't have the same number of screws, for example. I'm almost certain none were sold with exactly that look.
