Starmate questions

I am anxiously awaiting the Starmates arrival. As a matter of fact I am more excited about this knife than I have been about any for awhile. I basically have two questions about this knife. 1) Is it going to be available partially serrated? 2) Is it going to have two liners or one like the Military? I lied, I have to ask one more. Is February still going to be the release date?

I too am waiting for this knife with more exceitment than I have for anything for quite some time.

My only wishes are for 440v steel and the option of a fully-plain edge.

I'd even pay a premium to get the first one on the block!

Spyderco is the company that got me into knives, with a Rescue that was given to me as an weekend-warrior EMT. Can't wait for this offering to be the Star (pun intended) of my collection!

I like partially serrated blades. The best of both worlds! However I would buy a plain edge before I would buy a fully serrated model.

Shootist16 - Yes plain edge will be available. Yes, as I understand it, FEB is still planned for shipping. Probably won't see them available till early March. I'll check on the liners. My call would be one full nested liner, two if necessary for rigidity. But we'll yield to Bob T's preference.

Doug - Last I heard there were a few collector numbers available (1st 200 pieces go to collectors). Each model is offered with collectors specific number. Gotta buy every model though, or you lose the number. Used to be 100 but we added another hundred several years ago. it is the most guaranteed way to have the "first on your block".
