I've been having so much fun with my TGLB. My daughter wanted to hold it the other day. This picture caused all sorts of drama on Facebook, heh.

My son wants to hold it too, but he's too jumpy and unpredictable to take a photo w/o me holding it with him. Some day!

That's awesome RobertK....

Reminds me of my daughter when she was younger. Cherish these times... one day she will be 16. ugh... ;)

.

Cool, man. My kids always want to hold my blades as well. I keep telling them that all of my beautiful Busse's and Kin will be theirs to enjoy and pass on someday.
Often get the disapproving looks from people who just don't "get it", but I try not to let other people dictate my actions. Better to focus on the family time and teaching the kids to respect knives as tools so that they will mature into responsible blade owners someday.

Yeah my daughter just turned 9. She always wants to use my knives.
She got a letter from her school abt if she is going to be put in the gifted program. The first thing she said was "can I open the letter with a Busse Daddy?" The highlight for her was using it and my highlight was that she is in the gifted program.
So it all worked out :)

You guy's and gal's with kids that is awesome. I never had kids and then one day you reach that point that there is nothing to pass on for ya. So thank you for passing on your love of cutlery and teaching the youngens the correct handling of them. I salute you all!!!

OK. I'll post it. my 2.5 yr old saw my amsmo and wanted to give it a kiss. Then she comforted it with her blanket. I thought, ok, thats cool. Then, two days later, she saw it again.... another kiss. she saw the tactical sheath it came with and asked what is that? I showed her, it was to cover the sharp blade. I then let her hold the knife with the blade covered and she swaddled it with her blanket.

My Godkids were DOOMED to be fond of sharp things...... not only are their Dad's aficionados well.... their Godfather is a NUT. Both boys got Puma folders for Christening gifts, the girl got a Swarovski crystal thing....should have got her a knife as well.... :(

She is using the Izula I put together for her a couple of years ago...her brother's 411 is in front..and yes that is a FERAL cat...not someone's pet.

This message is kid approved!

Great to see so many kids being brought up right. Teach them to respect the blades and they will be fine. Thanks for sharing all the pics guys.

RobertK I`ve never seen problems With letting responsible kids handle knives, as long as you keep a good eye on what they are doing,...
Not a Busse, but here`s my girl when she was 5 years old, With my BK9...

My son with his first Busse knife, posing with Dan Busse. He received his first folding knife when he was in Scouts long ago.

Oh my gosh, this is now my favorite thread! Thanks for sharing the pics, they are great!

I grew up around knives and was taught how to handle them. I think its great that others do the same. It's better to know how to handle a knife that to handle a knife and not know how.
