My oh My! Couple of real beauties today. Both of those are drop dead gorgeous.

My wife fell off her horse day before yesterday, fractured her pelvis, wonder if that YCS would be a suitable get well gift?

Probably not. She's actually doing better already. Moving around a bit today, got her a walker to help for a few days. Could have been worse. Took the day off to help her but she don't need much.

wow , that is horrible news bawanna :c, I know all about bone fractures , im a caregiver myself . I hope you guys catch some easy times for all this difficulty!
also everyone is so lucky I am completely penniless or there would be no YCS or Kumar karda available--( the karda is much more attractive after seeing how nice the R-10 was in person, im with another forumite who talked about wanting all HI utensils , just need a two prong fork and a spoon and its on, medieval style.

Sorry to hear about your wife, Bawanna. Wishing her a speedy recovery.

I think that YCS would put a smile on anybody's face.

absolutely agree, wish all the khukri used the ycs burnisher, love those skinning knives just like R-10s

Auntie, please put my name down for the YCS-a beautiful piece of art I have admired for many months.

That had to be me! I was watching that kumar karda and also them r10's go to new owners but I got to get my girl something smaller in the 8 in range before I get my villager farm knife and r10 and kumar karda and...... Dang Bawanna! Sorry bout your wife! Take care of her man! Glad she is doing better!

yeah i think these knives make really good gifts, they are all unique , and you support good people , its all ++++

I think Tartan George was the winner on that one and I'm so happy for him I could just cry my eyes out.

So happy I'm not even jealous, maybe just a tiny bit envious but other than that just happy happy happy.

Guys , I can confirm I snagged the YCS last week. Been an admirer of that particular blade for some time now , but they don't show up too often so had no hesitation about diving in. Been following this forum for about a year now, and I can confirm the additive nature of collecting HI blades. Just when you absolutely know you have all the ones you might ever want, along comes another to tempt you. Is there no cure?

cheers

NO! ...sorry

No cure I'm aware of and this group definitely is a nice support group but useless as far as any kind of help. Bunch of enablers me thinks. That word seems to pop up a lot lately.

I'm very happy that you got one you've had on the radar for sometime. It's a really nice knife. I'd love to see some of these things in person, usually pictures, even good pictures don't do them justice. Congrats.

There are only three known cures for HIKV (Himalayan Imports Khukuri Virus).

1) Become homeless, destitute and never have internet access again.

2) Buy several of everything HI has ever made, so that you lose interest in buying more. (This cure only lasts until a new model is made).

3) Death.

I think you speak the truth Karda. Those are profound words. Given the option I think # 2 is my preferred choice, at least I'm putting forth the effort where as the other two don't seem like pleasant options and are to be avoided.
