Hi all, Here's one of my first posts on Bladeforums and I'm glad to say I just pulled the trigger on a Benchmade BM 690 P Elishewitz; with plain, uncoated blade.
It's my first -real- expensive knife, though I already own a few -just a few- nice folders. I ordered it at a probably well-known site -won't mention it, might be against forum rules- and paid a price well below anyplace I could order the knife from in Europe.
I'll just quickly mention some other "mental deformations" of mine that need the occasional nurturing: Guitars -just built my own classical...; model cars -yeah, yeah.., I know..; road-bicycles and mechanical watches.
OK, so I'm a bit of a nerd perhaps. But then most of you probably are!
A small list of other pointy and sharp objects in the house:
A good-old and nicely weathered Opinel; a mid-size Victorinox -been carrying Victorinoxes since I was 8 or so- ; a surprisingly cheap, probably Japan-made limited edition Spyderco from a local outdoor-chain, Bever Zwerfsport; an amazing Laguiole like you can only find them in France -bought mine in Lourdes, on a day-off during a cyclingtrip over there; a recent Buck Duke 500 -love it except for the fact that the blade wants to be closed gently in order not to crash into the spring, and now my "Beemer". I'll have to wait for it for up to 10 days or so, so I'll try to be patient!
Hope I didn't bore you too much; glad to be part of yet another forum-community
...love those smilies...
Peter
