Stood in line at the post office for 47 minutes on Thursday.
Fought crowds shopping yesterday.
Snowing today.

It finally feels like Christmas!

Hi John -

Yes - it is! We have our tree up, the girls came over and we took our annual jaunt to the tree farm for some tromping around whilst we choose the perfect tree. I always enjoy that trip.

The living room smells like scotch pine, and there are needles everywhere.

best regards -

I drove through Chi-town saturday morning and had to fight all the idiot drivers that kept spinning around like tops on the slick road. Golly gee that was fun.

It's beautiful here in Minnesota. Weather is warm for December, no snow has lingered (yet), and only a week to go!

It started snowing up here this afternoon but, it melted pretty much as soon as it hit the surface, and then turned to rain! It can stay this way as long as it wants to as far as I am concerned! I would love a green Christmas for a change! I'll take the cold any day! I don't love it when it dips below 0*F but, I can stand that, as long as I don't have to deal with, take up my time with, and do myself bodily harm with the white stuff!

The only problem with the weather staying like this so long, is when it does hit us, it's going to dump large amounts on us, like it did last year, which put me in the hospital and put me through a year now of recovery, and I'm not finished yet! And more than likely, the cold will end up lasting right into the summer, like it did a few years ago! We did not have a warm day up here, until the day of 4th of July! You either get it now, or you get it later but, you are going to get it anyway you want to look at it!

It's too warm here to hope for any snow right now but Pam works at the post office and she tells me "highlights" of her day over the drink that she mixes as soon as she gets home. She said a line outside of the main door is not too uncommon and that it is nearly impossible for her to even get a bathroom break.

That`s why I am not doing any more shipping untill mid next week, our post office has two lines, and usually only one is open. On a brighter note, Hayley and Hanna are coming over this afternoon to bake cookies and spend the night. Alison is working this weekend, so she is also coming over to give the girls their presents, and we will do our gift exchange with her. Should be a great day!
