Starting to hate Spyderco...

My wallet is anyway...I just got a Moran in the mail and of course it's not for me! Damn, now I have to buy another one! At this rate I am going to have to start doing direct deposit of my paycheck to Spyderco...what a cooool little knife the Moran is. Maybe I can talk my friend into letting me borrow it while I wait for mine to show up??? Hey Sal, maybe Spyderco can start doing a frequent buyer program that gives you points towards the purchase of a Spyderco knife if you buy them often enough???

Just curious... was the Moran you received mirror polished and with a leather sheath, or matte finished with a kydex sheath? Wondering if the revised model is getting to folks. Thanks!

Hey bald1,

Yes it's the new one with the the kydex. All in all very nice blade and easier for me to sharpen with the new grind. I can see why Spyderco changed it since most people would have a hard time duplicating the orginal Morans edge.

I got it from BestKnives for $56. There are a couple of Internet dealers that will sell it cheaper but I like the customer service at BestKnives. Mike responds quickly to e-mailed questions, the website is nice, you can check on the status of your order via the website to see if its been shipped yet. All in all a good package.

I know that this should be in the good, the bad, the ugly forum but I'll have to agree with SCAF. Mike at Bestknives is great! Good prices and customer service.
