Our grandaughters are on spring break this week, so on Tuesday we decided to take them to Starved Rock. Unfortunately, with all the rain we have been having, the trails were closed due to flooding. We still got a few pictures of the wood carvings around the lodge, thought you might enjoy seeing them.

Cute pics John. That Visitor's Center is amazing. I love that tree cross section with all the history marked in the rings.

Hi John -

Your granddaughters always look like they are having a blast when they are with you and the Boss.

The carvings are new since I was there last - at least I don't remember seeing them there.

I used to meet up with the Chicago Corvette Crew and we would cruise out to the lodge for lunch.

Nice place - but anything near water is going to be pretty wet around here.
