I try to take stock of my collection on an annual basis to see where I am headed and what changes have taken place over the previous year's rooting in the trough. The loss of black paper as a handle option has me in a bit of trouble. I need to decide with what I will replace it. So far, black canvas micarta seems to be the front runner.

2007 was a relatively quiet year. Five knives left me and eleven came home.

Departures: FBMLE, HOFSH, SJLE, NO-e, and a ZTNO.

The first four were traded for other INFI, but the last was sold outright to fund the purchase of something else.

Arrivals: Fishy SHSHII, Ruck Kensei, Frosted Jack, SFNO-V, NBATAC, BATACSE, BATAC Custom, BATAC Custom, MSS, [Lr]MrS, and the Cultellus.

RED = Ganzaa Snags
BLUE = Busse Website Orders
GREEN = Other Hogs

Oddly enough, I didn't buy anything from Skunk this year. I need to remedy that.

Obligatory picture (complete with crappy lighting).

What is your favorite?

and you can't say all of them:)

All that satin warms my heart. :thumbup:

I LOVE that ZTSH custom on the right.Ive seen pics of it before,forget who owned it though. Very nice collection. I have aways to go.

AWESOME colection! The custom BATAC third from the top in middle row is my favorite. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

You have very good taste Rick...all awesome knives:thumbup:

Thanks for the pic!

I still can't believe you lost a Black Paper this past year:eek:

In terms of overall, I think I have to go with the Fishy Steel Heart. It is not only an awesome piece of steel, it has a nifty history from here. My favorite user is the ZTSH Custom. It is just the right size for an all-around camp knife.

WoW, all shiny INFI too!

Heh, heh. Yep. I am allergic to coatings. The Ruck is the lone exception, only because it was never offered naked and I really wanted a sword. I like it more than the AK, but they aren't exactly a poor choice either.

I like it too. Thanks again to my northwestern hog benefactor.

It was sold at 2005 Blade and made its way over the pond. I got it back in trade for some non-INFI stuff (although I can't remember what).

Was that NICK fighter originally a Thin or xxxl ??

Neither. It was sold as-is at 2005 Blade. It is 0.125" thick at the choil and has a good bit of distal taper from the clip and forward.

Were are the fbm's? Do you not like the big ones?

They don't do much for me. I even traded away my HOFSH because it was not knife-like enough for my tastes. I had an FBMLE that I traded for a proto-FBM that I traded for the Fishy Variant. I am pretty happy with the end result.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Very nice collection Rick! especially the nice uncle :thumbup::thumbup:

That UMF LE (#25) was my first taste of satin and black paper. It is really the only thing I have left that could be considered a chopper.

I tell you, a lot of guys would be sureprised at how well the mofos chop. It can't hang with a FFBM, but on most woods mine was neck and neck with a BM-e... And oh man, it does look good with those black paper raptors!

I told ya!! They are WAY under rated as a chopping blade.

Unfortunately, the HH and the Uncle MoFo are all I have used knife wise to chop. I would probably say that regards to power, the HH had a little more grunt, but the Uncle MoFo was much more comfortable in the hand. Thus allowed me to chop longer.

I have since used my FBM LE, Badger LE and my Old School RatWeiler. I would rate what I have used in this order:
1) FBM LE
2) Uncle MoFo (Eli, if you ever want to sell that user back to me, let me know! ;) )
3) TIE - HH and RatWeiler
4) Badger LE (A real surprise!!)
