I must say the Desert Ironwood looks real nice thru a computer screen. I would get it if I had not bought two of the originals. Having trouble with this one...to buy or not to buy...anyway, here's my question: Is the Ironwood OVB as perty as it is on tv( computer screen )? If you had to choose, which one would you rather own? thanks! rdogout

I have the fiddleback maple one, and it is a really nice looking piece. However, I'm also drawn to the ironwood one. Ironwood is a fascinating wood, with its random swirls in the grain, etc. I'd like to get the ironwood one and make the maple a full blown user...but as usual I got other stuff on my want list, so we'll see. I guess what I'm saying is that I like both

Having seen a proto of the Ironwood version at Blade I can assure you it is definately "as purdy as it looks on the puter." Buy two like you did of the fiddleback, use one of each of them and mount the other two together on a wooden plaque that is of a color between the maple and the ironwood and I think you will have a very handsome set. That's my plan, anyway.
thanks for the replies. ...I guess there are worse dilemas. My other dilema about these knives are which ones to use. I actually like lookin at the one with the higher serial number..I guess the bottom line is that it ( the OVB Bowie is a good user or a great collector piece ...I will end up collecting ( not using ) #075.
