Status on Benner/Becker collaboration???

Has anyone heard anything regarding the small John Benner fixed blade design that BKT is bringing to market? MSRP, release date, model designation?

I was fortunate enough to play with one of the origional handmade pieces while I was at Benner's school (www.tdiohio.com) last month and I'm eagerly awaiting the production version.

Any info will be appreciated.

Welcome to the CAMILLUS forum! Ethan Becker and John Benner are long time friends, and through Ehtan, I have gotten to know John myself. I eagerly look forward to training at TDI in the future.

Unfortunately, the "Benner Knife" is not going to fit into the BK&T lineup. While a very interesting design, it does have a somewhat limited market. I know John is having custom models built for his students, so that option is still availible. I wish him the best of luck, and sincerely hope that he finds a way to get this unique self defense/ retention tool into the hands of LE officers that certainly can make use of it.
 
Rats! It's a shame that BK&T isn't going ahead with production. It's a very neat and functional little knife. Hopefully, it'll make it's way to market eventually.

Definitely train with John and his crew at TDI when you get the chance. I've trained with a ton of different organizations and was very pleased with the instruction that I received in their Level IV and V handgun classes.

Don't know the design for this knife but found this thread intriguing. I e-mailed John, who let me know Ka-Bar will be producing this knife commercially, FWIW.
 
Shameless, I know :D ,but here's the contact info for Ka-Bar. Anyone who is interested in finding out about the Benner knife should contact them. It's a neat little fixed blade defensive knife. I wish I'd the forethought to snap a pic of the design while I was in Ohio.
They said they plan to bring ti to market quickly, but who knows what that means.
